New PSP motherboards prevent users from creating Pandora batteries
(2008-01-30)
According to PSP-Italia, homebrew and custom firmware developer Dark AleX has discovered a new type of PSP Slim and Lite motherboard called the TA-85 v2 (pictured above) which prevents users from creating Pandora batteries.
According to the reports, this type of motherboard prevents the creation of Pandora batteries by inhibiting access to eeprom battery. While the unit cannot create new batteries, it can still run batteries which have already been placed in "service mode."
At the moment, there are no existing methods that PSP owners can use to get around this security measure. We'll be keeping a close eye on this issue so be sure to keep checking back here for more updates.
